Camille is 22 years old when she moves to Montréal. Her grandmother Pauline is 92 when she goes into a long-term care facility. Both feel that they have been uprooted and lost their bearings. Acting on an intuition, Camille records her visits and Pauline’s words. For almost four years, the two women adapt to the inevitable, the rhythm of days, forgetting, time slipping away, and daily reunions.

Based on the poignant podcast "Quelqu’une d’immortelle" (An Immortal Woman), Camille Paré-Poirier has adapted for the stage a conversation between two women who are deeply connected, a jumping-off point for a dialogue across generations. The creator explores the idea of care and the sometimes contradictory experience of being a caregiver. Through recordings that reveal the two women’s tremendous closeness, Pauline’s words and voice live on. And her granddaughter extracts a powerful, universal story from this documentary material.
